A Brief History of RAETECH Motorsports

RAETECH and owner/driver David Finch have been at the leading edge of racing technology for over two decades.

RAETECH Motorsports, Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of the RAETECH Corporation. RAETECH Motorsports was formed in 1986 with a charter to both develop financial support and operate the racing activities for the RAETECH Corporation. The most notable is the race car developed under contract to Porsche. The GT-2 Porsche 944 won six Sports Car Club of America National Championships, five second place finishes, and one third. Porsche AG presented a one time award, the Al Holbert Memorial Award, to David Finch, in recognition of outstanding racing and engineering achievements for Porsche. Sports Car Club of America's most prestigious award, The President' s Cup, a citation bestowed by President George Bush, was presented to David Finch honoring outstanding work in the field of vehicle development and motorsports. In 2001, David Finch was awarded the 2001 Mark Donohue Award, given to the driver who exhibits outstanding performance, sportsmanship, and competitiveness in SCCA road racing.
